Google India and Indian Railways announced the availability of free high-speed public Wi-Fi service at the Mumbai Central station on this month. It was a good news for the growing India.
The govt. said that, it will expand to 100 of the popular railway stations in India by the end of this year 2016, and also expand to 400 railway stations with in next one year.
The Google RailWire public Wi-Fi service will be accessible with Wi-Fi enabled mobiles, tablets and other gadgets.
Through this project google wants to invest a good amount of invest in India. The CEO of Google, Mr. Sundar Pichai give a good intro about the new project.
In India about 2lack. of people use Railway as their transportation medium. So it's importent to give them a better facility.
This project is very useful for the railway passengers to update their location and also for social media access.
In this facility they provide a login option and it will be the one and only method for using the free wi-fi.
Let us see how to log in to Railwire's public Wi-Fi:
1) Users open their Wi-Fi Settings on their device, and select the RailWire network.
2) Then the user open their mobile browser, and go to www.railwire.co.in site.
3) On the website, users will be enter their phone number on the Wi-Fi login screen, and then press Receive SMS button.
4) Users will receive an SMS with a 4-digit One Time Password code, and they will then have to use the code at the Wi-Fi login screen, and click Done.
5) At last it be shown a check mark, which confirms they are connected to the free Wi-Fi.
Through the new step hope the Indian Railway so care about their passengers. Any way the free wi-fi project is so useful for our passengers. And we are all thanks about that.
